The Go Project is a discipleship movement built on a simple idea: start with one.
Ask the Lord to place someone on your heart and simply invite them to follow you as you follow Christ. Teach them what you’ve learned and then challenge them to do the same with somebody else.
That’s how movements start.
One person. One relationship.
One disciple at a time.
You don’t need a stage or a platform. You don’t even need to have it all figured out. You just need to be willing to GO.

How To Make Disciples
Discipleship is more than a program. It is a way of life. Learn practical ways to invest in people, help them grow in their relationship with Jesus, and equip them to make disciples of their own.
It’s Time to Go
We know the mission. We know how to make disciples. Now it is time to put it into action. Be challenged to step beyond comfort, follow where God is leading, and make disciples wherever you are.
How to Disciple Someone One on One
Discipleship is simply helping someone follow Jesus. You do not need to be a Bible expert or have everything figured out. Your role is to walk with someone, point them to Jesus, and help them take their next step.
Acts 2:42 to 47 gives us a simple model for how to do that.
Step 1: Commit to the Person
Choose someone you can intentionally invest in. Make time to meet consistently and build a genuine relationship with them.
Do not just schedule meetings. Get to know their story, their struggles, their questions, and their dreams.
Your goal: Build a relationship where trust can grow.
Step 2: Open the Bible Together
Make God’s Word the foundation of your time together.
Choose a passage and read it together. Instead of doing all the talking, ask questions that help them discover what Scripture says.
Ask:
“What stands out to you?”
“What does this show us about Jesus?”
“What do you think God is saying to you?”
Your goal: Help them learn to hear and respond to God through Scripture.
Step 3: Share Your Life
Discipleship is more than information. Let them see what following Jesus looks like in real life.
Share honestly about your own faith, struggles, failures, and victories. Invite them into everyday parts of your life when appropriate.
Your goal: Model what it looks like to follow Jesus.
Step 4: Pray With Them
Do not just talk about prayer. Pray together.
Ask what is happening in their life and bring those things to God. Teach them to depend on God rather than on you.
Your goal: Help them develop a personal relationship with God.
Step 5: Give Them a Next Step
Every time you meet, help them identify something they can put into practice.
It could be reading Scripture, forgiving someone, serving someone, sharing their faith, or spending intentional time with God.
Ask:
“What is one thing you need to do because of what we talked about?”
Follow up the next time you meet.
Your goal: Move them from knowing about Jesus to following Jesus.
Step 6: Help Them Love Others
Acts 2 shows believers caring for one another. Encourage the person you are discipling to look beyond themselves.
Help them notice people who need encouragement, practical help, or someone to listen.
Your goal: Help them become someone who reflects the love of Jesus.
Step 7: Teach Them to Disciple Others
From the beginning, help them understand that discipleship is something they can do too.
You are not trying to make them dependent on you. You are preparing them to help someone else follow Jesus.
Ask:
“Who is someone you could begin investing in?”
Then help them take that first step.
Your goal: Make disciples who make disciples.
Keep It Simple
When you meet, remember this simple rhythm:
Connect
Listen to their life and build relationship.
Discover
Open the Bible and discover what God is saying.
Apply
Help them identify their next step.
Pray
Bring it all before God.
Multiply
Help them invest in someone else.
You do not have to disciple perfectly. Just be faithful to show up, open God’s Word, share your life, pray, and help someone take their next step toward Jesus.
